Wayward: Why the author wrote this work

I think that the main reason the author wrote this work is because he had already written one and he wanted to write a sequel. I think it is also in part that he wanted to make more money from his first book. But if I had to think of a deeper meaning as to why he wrote the book, I would say he wrote it because it was a good, unique idea that would attract attention to more of his work. He has many other books out that are all the same genre and may attract the same type of reader. I know that the only reason I knew there was a second book is because I had been reading other books that he had written.
